I, Gaye Travan, have been practising asana for more than 30 years and teaching for the past dozen or so. Asana has been a constant for me but I’ve only had basic pranayama experience and had an erratic meditation practice at best. The online Pranayama and Meditation course offered by IYTA has taken my yoga practice to the next level.
The course is very well structured starting with the basics and gradually progressing to more advanced techniques. David Burgess’ expertise shines through. His availability to answer questions, offer guidance and give feedback was really helpful.
I loved that I could progress through the levels of the course at my own pace. For the past 2 years, I’ve given myself the time to feel comfortable with each practice before advancing and I’m now on the verge of completing Level 3.
I’ve learnt so much from this course and feel I’m a better person and yoga teacher for it. My students are beneficiaries too as I now have a proper understanding of when and how to do the different pranayama techniques, and I have a regular meditation practice that will be with me for life.
