Winter Yin Yoga Immersion

Join highly experienced teacher Jeff Lou for a 3 hour Winter Yin Yoga workshop, incorporating Pranayama, Acupressure and Meditation into soothing Yin postures followed by lecture topics and discussion.
The workshop will include a 70 minute immersion Yin Yoga practice incorporating Meridian tracing, Meditation, Pranayama, Acupressure and Visualisation, followed by a short break,
Then leading into winter element and meridian theory, acupressure location and how to incorporate them into your class planning if you’re a teacher, or to provide a deeper understanding of a Yin class for students.
You will learn:
- Traditional Chinese Medicine Understanding of Winter and associated Elemental Energies
- Acupressure point locations and their uses in Yin Yoga
- Meridians that belongs to the Energy of Winter
- Discussion and Q&A
You may need: yoga blocks, blankets and soft pillows nearby for the practical session
Lecturer: Jeff Lou
Dr Jeff Lou is a key presenter who started a yoga and meditation practice with his mother as a child. Over this time, he has studied and practiced extensively in styles such as Hatha, Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Yin, Anusara and Vinyasa.
Jeff is a registered Chinese Medicine Doctor with the Ministry of Health in the People’s Republic of China, and APHPRA, he also holds a PhD in TCM from the top Chinese Medicine research institute in the world (CATCM).
In addition, he is a principal lecturer with the IFA for Aromatherapy and Massage. Jeff is a DYT Faculty with the IYTA, ERYT-500 with Yoga Alliance and Senior Teacher/Mentor with Yoga Australia.
